Challenge
In the digital publishing landscape, the widespread use of ad-blocking software poses a significant challenge to publishers reliant on advertising revenue. Many users employ ad blockers to enhance browsing experiences by removing intrusive advertisements, thereby impacting publishers’ ability to monetize their content effectively. Solution
We helped Kwejk.pl implement Blockthrough’s technology, known for its seamless integration of nonintrusive, static display banners within existing ad grid (alligned with Coalition for Better Ads standard). The implementation was straightforward, requiring minimal technical involvement. A single script in the site’s header enabled Blockthrough to efficiently manage ad recovery, ensuring Kwejk.pl could capitalize on demand from platforms like Google Ad Manager (GAM), SSPs, and Amazon—all under Waytogrow’s control and without disrupting user experience.
Effect
Waytogrow successfully boosted desktop revenue by 11% through the implementation. This equated to a 4.3% increase in revenue for the entire website. The monthly incremental revenue will drive stable income growth, and over a year, it will result in substantial gains for the publisher. This incremental revenue growth underscores the effectiveness of their strategy in recovering adblocked impressions. Client satisfaction with these results has been notably high, affirming the success of the approach.
